Andrew Dudum, Co-founder & CEO, Hims and Hers Health
Andrew Dudum’s point about AI isn’t really about the technology. It’s about ownership.
Hims & Hers sees a patient across the entire journey: what they came looking for, what a clinician prescribed, whether they stayed on it, and whether it worked. Dudum sees that closed loop of information as one of the company’s most valuable assets — which is why he believes the company should build its own AI rather than hand that information to someone else’s system.
The business behind the bet is growing fast: Hims & Hers generated $753 million in revenue in its latest quarter, up 38% year over year, with roughly three million subscribers. It’s also expanding internationally.
Dudum is betting that the next advantage in healthcare won’t just be having more patients. It will be knowing what to do with everything you learn from them.
